Ok I’ll admit I love this; who wouldn’t? It’s fudge for goodness sake! And yes, I suppose if you ate it all you could gain 5 lbs but a few pieces can’t hurt and your family will love it too. It will become a new family favorite.
My Mother-In-Law gave me this recipe years ago and it truly has become a holiday tradition.
So here we go….
Ingredients:
- 4 1/2 cups of sugar
- 13 oz can of evaporated milk
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 cups marshmallows
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
- 18 oz semi sweet chocolate pieces
- In a pan cook and stir together sugar, evaporated milk and margarine.
- Bring it to a rolling boil then turn the heat down to medium and set timer for 11 minutes.
- Cook and stir constantly for 11 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add marshmallows and chocolate, Beat with electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add walnuts.
- Pour fudge into very well greased 9×13 pan.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate over night.
- Cut into cubes and watch it disappear.
Hope this comes a great new tradition for your family!
