Deep Dish Banana Cream Pie

{Written by: The Mrs.}

I’m all about being lazy and not running to the store for ingredients, so looking in my pantry I spotted some vanilla pudding and I had a couple bananas on the counter  and thought pie, so here we go…

  • 1 Large Box Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 2  1/2 Cups Cold Milk
  • 3 Bananas
  • 1 Frozen Pie Shell
  • 16oz Whipped Topping
Bake the crust according to the directions. Cool completely. Whisk instant pudding and the milk until it starts to thicken about 2-3 minutes. Let stand for about 5 minutes.
Layer the pie crust with alternately with pudding and sliced bananas, I started with bananas first. Finally top the whole thing with whipped topping and put back in the fridge for a couple of hours to set up. I’m calling it Deep Dish since I had a deep pie crust and there was room for several layers.
Yummmmmmy and soooooo easy!
As you can see from the pictures my husband loved it and asked to lick the spoon. He hasn’t done that in awhile.
Oh, and our dog Truman loved it too! I know, I know, spoiled.
Everybody go home and make a Pie! It will make someone smile!
